The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science organised a seminar on Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking in association with CyberSmart and TechbyHeart. With the rapid expansion of digital technologies, cyber threats and vulnerabilities have become increasingly significant. In this context, the seminar was conducted to enhance students’ awareness of cybersecurity, ethical hacking practices, legal implications, and responsible online behaviour. The programme commenced with a prayer, following which the Welcome Address was delivered by Mr Ranjith, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr Biju C. V., Principal, who highlighted the increasing relevance of cybersecurity education in the academic environment. A briefing on the CyberSmart initiative was presented by Mr Dhanoop R, Cyber Security Analyst, TechbyHeart. The Chief Guest of the programme, Mr Ajith C, SI, Chalakudy, addressed the gathering and emphasised real-life cybercrime issues, preventive measures, and ethical digital practices. Subsequently, a technical seminar was delivered by Mr Dhanoop R, focusing on cyber threats, ethical hacking, system vulnerabilities, and security mechanisms.
